Mentoring Program For Girls of Color
Our vision is to provide girls of color with a community that creates a safe haven for them to learn, grow, and mature, while developing a positive self image. Our Vision is for girls to reach their fullest potential of greatness through hard work, dedication and partnership with local schools and other non profits in the community and around the world.
``The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others``
About Us
We provide a time and space for young ladies to have open dialogue and communication about the world in which they live, by spending time with positive female role models. We are women that are willing to be transparent, determined to prevent our young ladies from falling victim to the school to prison pipeline. We are the mirror that reflects what our daughters are capable and able to become when planted in an environment that will, water the seeds of success that has been planted on the inside of them.

``If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together``.

Volunteers & Mentors
All Mentors learn essential skills and processes to help build our young ladies self-esteem, helping them to become a stronger leaders, and set and achieve goals. Mentors understand they are to support and help guide the girls, not parent, judge, or control her life.
Studies have shown that youth who had a mentor, skipped fewer days of school, were less physically aggressive, had more positive relationships, and had higher grades.
Mentors & Mentees
1) The mentor and mentees meet in positive, socially appropriate venues, attend appropriate events such as go to museums

OUR PROGRAMS
Hope - Uniqueness - Excellence
Our HUE programs are 8 month programs, that operate from October – May, helping to prepare girls ages 10 -18, to meet the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood through a series of high-quality activities and learning experiences that help them to achieve, academically, build character, civic engagement, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Girls participate in whole group mentoring, community service, and enrichment activities as they gain the ability to lead themselves and others on a course of action. They also gain the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and have the self-confidence and self-esteem to pursue and achieve their goals.
